  2. It makes me sad too, these stones will be lost forever. There are many other graves in bad shape at this cemetery also. I clean up what I can, but large equipment would be needed to remove the overgrown trees and reset the headstones. Thanks for commenting.

  3. That is SO unfortunate! Earlier this year, there were a couple of well publicized stories about the large number of "endangered cemeteries" (their wording, but so true!) here in Minnesota.

    This was after a farmer dug up headstones and tilled up an old family cemetery to get a little more farm land.

    I've been working at photographing the cemeteries in my area and uploading them to findagrave... it's a daunting task... but worth preserving
